I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience in community mental health, school-based mental health support, residential treatment programs, and parent education/support.  After returning from my work in Africa as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the early 1990s, I supported adolescent mothers as they worked to further their education.  This led to pursuing a Masters Degree in Social Work, as I knew that I wanted to develop the skills to better counsel, advocate, and support youth/young adults.  Since that time, I have worked in a variety of settings.  I have been in private practice since 2010, offering counseling services to all ages.

I enjoy working with a mix of clients who who seek support for a variety of mental health needs.  Over the years, I have increasingly found myself supporting parents.  I do this mainly by providing parent education, Parent-Led Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and anxiety treatment for adolescents and young adults.  I believe that early education and treatment of anxiety and depression is important for healthy development.

I recently acquired a puppy through a Vermont rescue organization.  My teenagers have named him Goose and I hope to have him join me in the office when in-office services can be resumed.  When I am not managing Goose's energy and puppy needs, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, swimming in the lake, running/ walking along the lake, knitting, and reading.
